Intensive Certificate Programs
CCFH offers 1-year and 2-year Intensive Certificate Programs for professionals in mental health, health care, and human services. The program runs for 30 weeks, October - May, providing four hours of intensive training weekly (two-hour course and two-hour group supervision). Ongoing case supervision builds assessment and intervention skills, developing expertise through videotaped and live observation of sessions. In the first year, trainees gain essential practice knowledge and skills in strengths-based, resilience-building family and couples therapy, including child and adolescent problems, couples relationships, and family-of-origin issues. In the second year, trainees may choose an area of specialization: Couples Therapy or Families, Illness & Collaborative Healthcare. See Courses and Supervision Groups for more detailed descriptions.
Continuing education units (CEUs) are offered for LMFT, LCSW/LSW and LCPC/LPC requirements. Upon completion of the program, graduates receive a certificate as evidence of proficiency. Tuition for the 2007-2008 training year is $3,950.
